Hello there! My name is Thomas but you can call me Snap! I’ve been building, modifying, and painting plastic model kits for the better part of a decade. In that time I’ve learned a ton of useful tips and tricks that I’m always excited to share.
Sam is a Filipino-American voice actress and percussionist from the city of Hampton, Virginia on the Chesapeake Bay. She began her journey as a performer in 1999 on piano and studied percussion, saxophone, and baritone horn before beginning her acting studies in 2020. Sam loves to travel and has a soft spot for east coast beaches that remind her of her hometown. In her spare time, she enjoys tending to her houseplants, playing video games, and spending lazy days off with her dogs (Rico and Yoshi) and her husband.
Sam’s passion for her work in video games is fueled by a childhood of RPG gaming, particularly Pokemon (which she shares a birthday with!). A few of her notable roles include Topaz from Honkai: Star Rail, Rosetta from Punishing: Gray Raven, Janet in Brawl Stars, and Abigail from Epic Seven.

Hey there, my name is Alice! I was born and raised in New York but currently reside in North Carolina! Ever since I could remember, I always wanted to act and be an actor. However, growing up I was too afraid of not succeeding and supporting my family. So I focused my attention to sports and academics. I currently hold two degrees and quite a few certifications. While yes I could technically save your life at the drop of a hat, or be your therapist, I’d rather leave that to someone else (sorry). What really makes me happy and inspires me every day is acting and the pursuit of this craft. My dream is to one day be a part of someone’s childhood memories.

There are three consistent things in my life: going to the gym, running a lot of D&D, and talking about Japan. It was 2009 that I first got up on stage at NekoCon to present a panel. I had no idea if it would go over well, but the line outside the door scared me half to death. People interested in hearing what I had to say about mythology and anime- I had expected a dozen at best, not the 100+ that decided to spend time with me. That was where it all began, where I decided to start presenting topics on my passions, and opening doors and minds to the hidden symbols and signs behind their favorite series. It remains a major part of my life to this day, whether I’m presenting at a con, a library, or to some folks at a brewery or coffee shop. Nekocon 2024 marks my 14th time attending Neko, and I could not be happier to be back. I look forward to another year of fandom and hijinks.
We’d like to invite Greg as a good example of “you’re doing it wrong” for the rest of our attendees. He originally joined the voice acting ranks through his background in IT and Engineering (no, seriously). Earning advanced degrees from Pennsylvania State University and studying drama with the Walnut St. Theatre, the Wilma Theatre, and the People’s Improv Theatre. His agent told him that he had a face for radio, and he’s been a cautionary tale of “how not to be a voice actor” ever since.
Greg has been performing behind the mic for over 18 years providing vocal talent for companies such as AstraZenica, American Express, Banfield Pet Hospitals, DuPont, Lockheed Martin, CBS, Honda of America, Virgin Mobile, PetSmart, the MBA, the NBA, and anyone else foolish enough to let him near their VO copy. In the anime world, he’s had the privilege to be cannon fodder for titles such as “Evangelion”, “Ikki Tousen”, “One Piece”, “Shiki”, and “Tales of Vesperia”. For some people “Soldier A” is an initial role, but since Greg lives in Philadelphia, it’s become a way of life.
To learn more about Greg, visit
www.gregoryhouser.com or @ghouser on Twitter. We think FaceBook may have a restraining order… (he’s actually on there as well)

Katriel Paige has been interested in the religious cultures of Japan since their undergraduate days in East Asian Studies and the days of the Shinto ML on Yahoo Groups. They first started doing Japanese cultural panels with an introduction to Japanese religious depictions in anime at Otakon 2004, and have shared their knowledge and resources since – even though through the years in fandom so much has changed, like how we access information, and the increasingly available English-language resources! Their particular interest is in media analysis and Japanese religious landscapes, but they’re happy to talk about topics ranging from intercultural communication to fan studies to tabletop games and stationery.
Katriel possesses Master’s degrees in Intercultural Communication (University of Surrey, UK) as well as in Disability Studies (CUNY SPS, USA).
